He is an amazing photographer that uses a real camera with film, a great writer and a talented musician so his website needed to group together all his skills in one space.
I love black and white photographs and we agreed on a basic idea for the site from the start, based on monochrome with the occasional splash of red.
We worked together, bouncing ideas back and forth. I’ve used one of his photographs as the main background for the site and kept it grainy and less digital. He chose fonts for his business card that I’ve used in his website to keep a sense of continuity.
This site has lots of juicy features; a recent post slider displays his blog posts alongside his images, below each post are links to related posts and the tag cloud intensifies in colour when tags are used most often.
It is also fully integrated with Facebook so when he is on his travels he can post to his website from his phone, and Facebook will automatically update.
This was a lovely site to work on and I’m pleased with the result which manages to be clean, easy to navigate and gritty at the same time.
